Dinner at Butcher’s Cut tonight was excellent. 🥩✨

The service was attentive, the food quality was clearly above average, and overall it was a really great experience.

Would I do specialty dining every night? No.
But do I usually book it once on each cruise to enjoy a “next-level” meal and try something different? Absolutely.

Tonight he decided he was ready for fame and tried out for the ship’s show ensemble. He walked in confident… then tried to “warm up” for the dance number.

Bad move. 😬

Mid-stretch, he pulled a hammy and had to limp off before he could finish auditions.

I know the buffet isn’t everyone’s thing (for lots of reasons), but I still love it for one big advantage: CHOICE. You just don’t get this many options in the MDR at breakfast. Today the selections were plentiful and most of what we tried was really good.

My travel buddy wasn’t impressed with the omelet—said it had been sitting out a bit too long. Fair point. But that’s the beauty of the buffet: if something’s not a win, you simply pivot and grab something else. ✅🍳🥐

Last night, on my first evening aboard the MSC Cruises Seascape, we checked out the main show—and it was a pleasant surprise. While I usually gravitate toward traditional theater, this production was thoroughly entertaining. The song selection leaned heavily toward music from my generation, which made it even more enjoyable. Strong vocals, energetic dancing, and impressive backdrops all came together beautifully. A clear win-win to start the cruise.

Last night, on my first evening aboard the MSC Cruises Seascape, we checked out the main show—and it was a pleasant surprise. While I usually gravitate toward traditional theater, this production was thoroughly entertaining. The song selection leaned heavily toward music from my generation, which made it even more enjoyable. Strong vocals, energetic dancing, and impressive backdrops all came together beautifully. A clear win-win to start the cruise.

This morning, the captain came over the PA with an announcement I was not expecting:

“LEGO Man, please report immediately to Captain’s Court for activity unbecoming of a… LEGO.”

I was confused, so I asked LEGO Man what on earth this was about. He started mumbling something about “last night” and “the bar,” which made me even more suspicious.

After a little investigation, I discovered the truth: once I went to bed, LEGO Man apparently snuck off to the 5th-floor bar and, in his words, “partied like it was 1999.”

Next thing I know, the charges are read, the crew is shaking their heads in disappointment, and the sentence is handed down on the spot:

“Walk the plank.”

I’d like to say he learned his lesson… but I have a feeling this isn’t the last we’ll hear of Captain’s Court.
