Wow. Just… wow. I recently got back from a Globus group tour, and honestly, I'm still riding high on the experience. From start to finish, I'd give my overall satisfaction a solid Excellent. This trip wasn't just a vacation; it was an adventure that exceeded my expectations in so many ways.
And the hotels? Oh my goodness, the hotels were excellent and exceeded my expectations. Every single accommodation felt like a little slice of luxury after a day of exploring. It’s those little comforts that really elevate a trip, and Globus certainly delivered.
But the real MVP of this tour was, without a doubt, the tour director. He was outstanding across the board for his professionalism, knowledge, and helpfulness. Seriously, he was a walking encyclopedia with a fantastic sense of humor and an uncanny ability to keep everything running smoothly. You know how sometimes you get a good guide? he was beyond good. he was outstanding. And let's not forget our bus driver – his skill, safety, and courtesy were also un matched. I felt completely safe and comfortable on the road, which is a huge peace of mind when you're covering a lot of ground.
The included tours and excursions? Very Satisfied! Each one felt well-curated and offered a genuine insight into the places we visited. The pace of the activities was balanced, too. I never felt rushed, but we also packed a lot in without feeling overwhelmed. It was the perfect blend of exploration and relaxation.
When it comes to my favorite part, it's a tie between the incredible sites and ruins we explored and, surprisingly, developing relationships/making new friends. There’s something special about experiencing new places with a group of like-minded travelers. The shared awe and laughter truly enriched the journey.
I did opt for some of the optional excursions, and I'm so glad I did! They offered excellent value & enjoyment. While the descriptions for these were somewhat unclear and not as accurate as they could have been prior to booking (a tiny area for improvement there, maybe a bit more detail upfront?), the experiences themselves were absolutely worth it.
Considering the entire package, I'd rate the overall value for money of this group tour as an excellent value. I really felt like I got my money's worth, and then some. So, would I book another group tour with Globus in the future? ABSOLUTELY! The overall experience was so positive.
My single best aspect of the entire trip? Definitely developing relationships/making new friends and, of course, the beautiful sites/ruins. That combination of human connection and breathtaking discovery is what makes group travel so unique.
If I had one specific area where the tour company could improve to make future tours even better, it would be those more detailed descriptions on excursions/daily itineraries and better headsets. The ones we used were a bit fiddly to put on and keep on, and after a while, they really hurt my ears. A small detail, but one that would significantly enhance the on-site experience.
All in all, my Globus tour was an absolute triumph. It wasn't just a trip; it was an enriching, eye-opening, and truly enjoyable adventure. I'm already dreaming of where they'll take me next!
